ПОРОШОК для лотусов НЕ ПОДХОДИТ!!. После использования его очень сложно получается смыть (а точнее врятли получится) и порошок способствует окислению металлов, особенно алюминию.
Если загорелись, обязательно спросите у ребят на треке перед тушением, чем тушить собрались и, если порошок, не давайте тушить машину
Самый оптимальный вариант - пена (тушит и легко смывается), так как CO2, не оставляя следов, не устраняет причину возгорания - огонь может появиться снова.
Себе купил LifeLine пенный 2-х литровый. На ЧП должно хватить.
The problem with a Powder Extinguisher is a financial one
When you are able to stop a fire with such a jobby, EVERY ali part of the car will be due for replacement in a couple of months/years time. Whatever you do, you will not be able to remove the powder. You cannot rinse it off as it directly 'eats' it's way in.
The results will be visible after a while. In fact, I've seen an Esprit which -we found out- was on fire for a couple of secs. The owner stopped it with a powder jobby and then used pressure washers etc. to get the stuff out. All looked fine untill about 18 months later. He came in the workshop with gearbox problems. When the covers were all removed, we simply found holes in the casting
The customer went back to the insurance company to tell them this was damage of the fire 18 months ago etc. Insurance company came back to him and told him the case was closed and everyone could come back and say such a thing.
A lesson learnt: whatever you do, never use powder extinguishers!
When you buy an extinguisher, you have a choice, so I don't see why you would be stuck with one.
